This mix features a blend of: Blue Utrecht, One of the most decorative wheats we've ever seen. We were fortunate to find a grower in Canada who grows these wonderful plants, but the seeds are quite limited. The blue heads with black beards bend over when mature. Holds color and to stem well after drying. Black Einhorn, A very special wheat that dates back 10,000 years to Ethiopia. Has flat, black heads that resemble the heads of crested wheat grass. Dwarf Indian, An unusual wheat that is short and very upright with plump, round seeds. The heads resemble small bottlebrushes. Silver Tip, A large wheat growing 2-3 ft. tall with all white heads and awns. Excellent contrast material. Spring Red, This cool season, annual cereal grain offers a reddish tint for arrangements an holds color well. Egyptian Blocky, Unusual wheat with short head about 2" long, seeds are uniquely arranged to form an almost square head. Almost no awns at all. Blended together to make a perfect mix for cut and dried arrangements. It also makes border mix, as well as a classroom mix to teach children about how grains are produced. ABL06 Jim's Premium Ornamental Sorghum Mix This is a wonderful addtion to any garden. Makes birdfeed, sweet canes, exceptional dry arrangement material and traffic stopping fall decor. Our sorghum mix features: Egyptian Wheat Sorghum. Fluffy, loose, airy seed heads 12 inches long with straw colored seeds. Harvest in any stage of development for fresh use, or dry for filler material. Egyptian wheat (Shallu or chicken corn) has a misleading name because it a member of the sorghum family that bears large seed heads and is grown extensively for birds of all types and is high in protein and shatters freely when reaching maturity.
